Two years ago, I couldn't imagine myself in a fully-remote role — I didn't even like working from home for an afternoon when I had an appointment. I loved the office environment and all of the perks that came with it.

Don't get me wrong, I still love the occasional in-office day to see my coworkers and have some face-to-face discussions... but I've been in the office for a total of two and a half days since the start of the pandemic. And I'm totally okay with that.

Yet, we still see employers posting open positions as temporarily remote with a return-to-office expected in the coming months.

Why is that? Is a return-to-office inevitable? Or should companies stop trying to fix what isn't broken?
